Barbara Frohn, MS, LMFT
Many people come into therapy because they are feeling stuck or just want to be happier. Providing therapy and working with my clients is my lifelong passion. I provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families who may struggle through anxiety, depression, personality disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, domestic violence, Autism, parenting issues, adolescent transitions, family impasses, grief, and trauma.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and I use a strength based interdisciplinary approach and tailor the therapy to the client’s needs. I provide a nonjudgmental space in which you can take an honest look at what is happening in your life.
My goal as a therapist is to encourage and empower individuals and families to overcome their personal barriers and achieve their goals. My main theoretical approaches are Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Therapy, Structural Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Trauma Informed approach.
As a dual-diagnosis therapist, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (2110-124) and I am able to offer both mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
